Hockley Golf Club, set in the heart of Winchester and surrounded by the scenic South Downs, is an exceptional destination for winter golf. Built on free-draining chalk downland, our course remains playable throughout the colder months, allowing visitors to enjoy full greens, well-maintained fairways, and a consistently high-quality golfing experience. Designed by James Braid, the course offers a challenging yet enjoyable layout, complemented by stunning winter views across Winchester and beyond.
While Hockley is a private members’ club, we welcome county cardholders during the winter season, providing an opportunity to experience our traditional, well-maintained course in a picturesque setting.
