There’s Nothing Quite Like Hockley.
Society golf at Hockley
Championship Downland Golf
For a society golf day in Hampshire, Hockley offers a James Braid course shaped by its downland setting. Its changes in elevation, strategic bunkering and outstanding greens make for a rewarding round, with far-reaching views across the landscape.
A Championship Venue
Home to Hampshire Golf and on the County Championship host rota, Hockley offers a serious test that remains enjoyable for a range of handicaps.
A Considered Welcome
Our Club 59 customer service results this year reflect the attention our team gives to visiting groups.
Free-Draining Winter Golf
Hockley’s free-draining chalk downland supports winter golf and gives the course its open outlook across the Hampshire landscape.
The course
Golf at Hockley
The course follows the natural contours above Winchester, with changes in elevation, well-placed bunkers and undulating greens that reward thoughtful play. The setting is a large part of its appeal, from the broad views across the downland to the character of individual holes.
Our fairway recovery programme and continuing course improvements support the standard of playing conditions that visitors expect from Hockley.
