At Hockley Golf Club, our team is central to the experience our members and visitors enjoy. From the moment you arrive at the Club, you are met by people who care deeply about the place and the standards it represents. Many of our staff have been part of Hockley for years and take real pride in their work, whether preparing the course, welcoming members into the clubhouse, or supporting the day-to-day running of the Club. That shared commitment is what makes Hockley feel like a special place to be.

    Peter Dawson

    Club President

    Peter Dawson has served as Club President since 2024. A former European Tour professional and the first left‑handed player to represent Great Britain & Ireland in the Ryder Cup, he provides steadfast support to Hockley and its members, championing junior golf and helping foster a welcoming environment for all.

    Chris Kilgannon

    General Manager

    Since joining Hockley in 2019, Chris has led the club as General Manager. A PGA member with a successful playing career and extensive coaching experience, he combines a deep understanding of the game with strong leadership to create a welcoming environment for all members

    Doug Tate

    Course Manager

    Doug Tate joined Hockley six years ago following a strong start to his career at Royal Mid Surrey. Since joining the Club, he has played a key role in the continued development and improvement of the course. As Head Greenkeeper, Doug leads the team with care and consistency, setting high standards and delivering excellent playing conditions throughout the year.

    Scott Coomber

    Head Professional

    Scott Coomber joined Hockley Golf Club in 2025 as Head Professional. A highly respected coach, Scott is dedicated to helping members improve their game and enjoy every aspect of golf at the club.

    Ashley Payne

    Golf Operations Manager

    Ashley Payne has been Golf Operations Manager at Hockley Golf Club since 2024. Having worked in the golf industry for many years and with extensive playing experience, Ashley is passionate about running the club efficiently and ensuring all members and guests enjoy the very best experience.

  • Helen Taylor

    Food & Beverage Manager

    Helen Taylor was promoted to Food and Beverage Manager in 2025 and has been instrumental in developing and improving the Club’s food and beverage offering. She has built a strong team with a clear focus on delivering consistently high standards of service, ensuring members and visitors enjoy a welcoming and well-run experience.

    Tim Brown

    Deputy Course Manager

    Tim Brown has been with Hockley for eight years and is our Deputy Course Manager. He has played a key role in many of the improvements to the course and is an integral part of the team.

    Adrian Green

    Head Chef

    Adrian joined our team at the end of 2025 and has already made a remarkable impact. He has elevated the quality of food at Hockley, developing new menus and working closely with our kitchen team. With a distinguished career in the culinary industry, we feel very fortunate to have him with us.
