Society organisers are requested
to ensure that all members of their group are made
fully aware of the Dress Code in advance of the visit.
DRESS CODE
Objective: The dress
code is designed to foster standards of excellence
at Hockley Golf Club for Members, Guests, Caddies
and Visitors. Unless otherwise stated it shall relate
to users of the Club Lounge and the Course (including
the putting green and the practice range).
Responsibility: It is the responsibility of all members
to ensure that they, and their guests, adhere to the
Dress Code and to report any transgressor to The Secretary,
The Professional and his staff, Clubhouse Staff or
any member of the Golf Committee. The aforementioned
people are the only ones authorised to address any
infringements.
Ladies:
Ladies are expected to conform to the spirit of the
dress code. Short skirts / shorts or unsuitable sun
tops are not allowed. Ladies are required to wear
socks when they are on the Course or practice ground.
Club Lounge: The minimum standard is smart clean casual
clothing at all times. No golf shoes, spiked or otherwise,
hats or wet or soiled clothing will be allowed.
Trousers: No type of denim jeans, paramilitary style
camouflage trousers, or tracksuits are allowed.
Shorts: Only tailored shorts may be worn in the Club
Lounge or on the Course. They should be above the
knee by not more that 3" (75mm).
Socks: Gentlemen, when wearing shorts may either wear
predominantly white ankle length sports socks or long
single colour hose socks.
Shirts: Shirts without collars or sleeves are not
permitted. Rugby, football or any sports shirts other
than those designed for Golf shall not be worn. Shirts
shall be tucked into trousers or shorts at all times
except tailored fitted shirts in the Club Lounge.
Footwear: Course: Appropriate footwear, designed for
golf, shall be worn.
Club Lounge: Suitable footwear must be worn at all
times. Trainers, Plimsolls, Flip Flops or stocking
feet are not considered suitable footwear.
Headwear: Hats, caps and sun visors are not permitted
in the Club Lounge. Hats and caps worn on the course
must be worn the correct way round.

Juniors: Junior members are required to adhere to
the Dress Code. However, Juniors (under 15) may wear
alternative sports shoes (trainers) on the Course
and children up to and including age 11 are not subject
to the Dress Code.
Mobile Phones May be carried on the Course but must
not be left switched on and may only be used in an
emergency.

Society
Notes
Play:
Hockley
would prefer society groups to play in three's but
fourballs will be permitted if required.
Normal Reserved Tee Times: 9.00-10.00
am & 2.00-3.00 pm. Play off YELLOW tees.
Adjustment to the above playing times may be available
by prior arrangement subject to course availibility.
Slow Play: Society
members are asked to ensure play proceeds without
delay.
Payment:
Cheques
to be made payable to Hockley Golf Club
Chip and pin debit cards only can be accepted.
Note: Meals
will be charged for unless 24 hours notice of cancellation
is given.
The
